New Babies and I need help!!

I went to a chicken auction last night.

I fell in love.

We had been looking for a buck to freshen up our does.  I had no luck until last night.
All the local bucks were the wrong breed or too big.  Until I met this little guy.

He melts my heart.  He is a small, beautiful, sweet, and affectionate little buck.  I think My does will love him.  They will fight over him.  They will have cute little babies and I will finally have some goat milk.  It benefits everyone.  How could they resist him?  If only, um, I can figure out how the "logistics" will work.  One should always breed a small  buck to a large doe.  But, um, how do I put this delicately........how will he *reach* his goal??  Maybe I should build a ramp, or a box or a platform?  Hmmmm.......suggestions?????

Well, I'm sure they will figure it out.  I am so thankful to have run into such a good deal on a sweet buck.  He was only...$35.00.  Can you believe that???  Also, I really, really need a name for him.  He has big beautiful brown eyes with mile-long eyelashes. Just like my sweet little boys.  He is sweet and loves cuddles.  He cries when you leave him.  I have no idea what to name  him.  Please, comment and tell me what you think.

We also picked up 10 Americanas.  These are the chickens that lay pink, blue and green eggs.  These chicks are only 1 week old.  I can not tell you how sweet and cuddly they are. We are all gooey over them.

I was meant to be a country girl.  It is in my blood, my bones, my very being.

I love my life.

AWWWW!!! I love this post!

What to name the buck? Hmmmm seeing as how he is a little feller...."Ambitious" (Ambi for short)? [giggle]

Unless he is UNambitious around the does, then you can call him "Recalcitrant" (Rekkie for short).

Yeah, I know. I need to work on my naming skills (though I think Rekkie is cute!). We tend to name our pets after military stuff--makes it easier to have "theme".

And as for logistics...roflolol. I have NO idea. I can ask Ash though.

How about, Tanngrisni or Tanngnost.

A mouth full I know, and I did not make them up.

The Norse believed that during a thunderstorm, Thor rode through the heavens on his chariot pulled by the goats Tanngrisni ("gap-tooth") and Tanngnost ("tooth grinder").

Maybe Tann for short?

Peekie suggested "Carl". She said he looks like a carl (she said not quite like a carl, but it was the closest thing she could think of)
