I caught this hen laying an egg out in the barn today. Just because I love you all so much, I decided to grab my camera and get it on tape. I thought, "Hey, this will only take a minute." Um, no. It took this chicken over 20 minutes to lay the egg. I guess I thought it would be a lot quicker. She has decided to start laying on a shelf we are converting to nesting boxes. Not the other shelf with hay and privacy. Weirdo.
I wanted to grab my camera later on when I caught our rooster "gettin' friendly" with one the the hens but I was not fast enough.
Life is getting exciting round here.
Yes, the egg survived. Miraculously.
Next week, I have something big to show you! I'm so excited.

Guess your hen can't wait to move in! She's probably trying to encourage you to work faster on the nesting boxes.
