We have a church in our area that constantly advertises "home of the runaway bride". (Part of the movie was filmed there.)I still can't figure out why they choose to declare that, like it's a good thing. . .I think some of the best church signs we ever saw were in Savannah, GA. It was always great to see what they came up with from week to week. (And they did change weekly, which made it all the more interesting.)
I recently saw a homemade sign saying, "Get some Jesus" nailed to a tree.
Bwahahahahaaa that's a classic.I'll have to keep a look out to see if I can see any good ones.
We have one near our home that has "Jesus Christ" across the bottom in capital letters. Above that in three rays painted sun yellow it has: The Way, The Truth, and The Life. Not so much out of the ordinary, but I'll never forget the day my (then 6 years old--but able to read) son cried out "Jesus Christ! We're almost home!" upon seeing that sign. Took me a minute to figure out why he'd say such a thing! (Who taught my kid to talk like that?!)It's been there my whole life and I guess I just stopped noticing it--but he sure hadn't! LOL!
Darla, that is hilarious! I would have a heart attack if I heard my son say that. lol.
