Poor Chicken

Chicken Doctor, please help.

This poor chick had it's leg slammed in a barn door. Twice. I won't say who did it but she feels absolutely horrible.

No, It was not me. This time. But I am passing my genes on. Lucky kids.

I put iodine on the bleeding leg, and am isolating the chick on the front porch in a box with food/water. What else can I do? I'm not sure she will make it.

ummm, chicken has injured foot, Camille makes chicken and dumplings???? lol

Poor chicken, I do hope he feels better soon.

I am so glad that you posted a chicken and dumpling recipe. My sister is coming from South Africa next month and she wants me to make real Southern food and your recipe sounds great. Not too many unnecessary ingredients just like I like it!

Thanks

I forgot to mention that I had a similar experience with my in-laws the last time they came. I found a great crock pot chili recipe and had made it several times before, but for some reason it took sooooo much longer to make and they only had dinner at 9:30 pm on the night that they arrived after a 15 hours flight. I felt so bad.

Thank you, Melenie. Now I have to clean my coffee off the screen. That was hilarious.

I hope you have a great time with your sister.
